Event Details

Build on your career vision and create a personal marketing plan.  Assess your skills inventory, decide who you want to “dance” with and clarify the benefits you offer to potential employers and/or clients.  You will develop a personal marketing strategy and a tactical plan for getting visibility.  Learn how to communicate your value in spoken, written, and online media, with a consistent message across your elevator speech, resume, LinkedIn profile, business cards, and executive bio.  Successfully communicating your value will help you during networking and in your interviews.

Jeff Brown (http://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffdbrown2009) and Patrick Harter (http://www.linkedin.com/in/patrickharter) will facilitate this meeting.

While walk-ins are welcome, registering in advance helps us plan for hospitality volunteers, resume reviewers, printed materials, and coffee and bagels too - thank you!

DONATIONS/FEES: MEMBERSHIP in SJN is FREE.  We function on volunteer service and donations.  We do not charge meeting fees, including for this curriculum series.  A donation of $5 per event is suggested.

A Companion Workbook has been developed and supports all four modules of the curriculum, contains worksheets and homework.  It will be available for purchase for $15 when registering or at the event.  If purchased in advance, the workbook will be waiting at the event.

Moving towards our next curriculum module, “Your Marketing Plan”, having the work book becomes more important. To have a productive job search you need a comprehensive plan. There are a series of exercises to help you develop your personalized strategy and tactics inside the workbook. While times are tight, I urge you to make an investment in yourself and purchase the workbook. It will help immensely on the next three modules.  At $15, it merely allows SJN to absorb the cost of materials.
